Give the Citrine Pot an Ether
Use an Ether from the item menu on the Citrine Pot to beat it. Other pots request different consumables, so match the item to the pot's request instead of trying to defeat it with ordinary attacks.
How to Select and Target the Ether
- Select Ether from the battle's item menu to prepare the consumable the Citrine Pot requests.
- Use the Ether on the Citrine Pot to trigger the scripted victory and earn 120 MRP.
Make the pot itself your default target when using the requested item. Using the requested recovery item on an ally can also trigger the scripted victory. The important part is supplying the item the pot names, rather than spending more turns attacking.
Pot Items, Locations and MRP Rewards
Check the pot's name before choosing a recovery item. Each variant below has its own requested consumable and MRP reward. Use the locations to decide which items to keep available as you explore.

Why Ordinary Attacks Fail
Pots have extremely high HP and stagger values, and they resist ordinary physical and magical damage. They also restore their health as they repeat their item requests. Those defenses make trying to wear them down ineffective; supplying the named consumable is the intended way to win.
Keep Recovery Items for Pot Encounters
Keep an Ether available for the Citrine Pot, and reserve the matching consumables for the other variants. Satisfying a pot's request awards much more MRP than typical nearby encounters, making those items worth holding back. Before using up a recovery item during exploration, check whether a pot in the area needs it.
