Choose the Answers You Prefer

No, your Sanctum answers in Final Fantasy Resonance do not change the Vision you receive, its role, its learnable abilities or its power. Completing the crystal's three questions unlocks that Sanctum's designated Vision regardless of your choices.

Pick the responses that feel right to you. You do not need to follow a particular answer sequence to receive the Vision. If you already chose differently from another player, you can keep playing without returning to correct your answers.

02

Complete the Crystal's Questions

  1. Interact with the Sanctum crystal to begin its story questions. The crystal has a designated Vision, so your responses are not selecting a character from a pool of possible rewards.
  2. Answer all three questions with whichever responses you prefer. Completing them unlocks that Sanctum's Vision with the same role, learnable abilities and power regardless of the answers you selected.
03

What the Story Choices Represent

The questions are narrative and character-reflection prompts based on the original Final Fantasy installment represented by that Vision. They invite you to engage with the character's story. Their purpose is not to assign a combat build or test whether you know a required mechanical answer.

If you recognize the character, choose the response that fits your understanding of their story. If the character is unfamiliar, choose the answer that appeals to you without looking up the plot. You do not need knowledge of the original game to preserve the Vision's abilities or power.

04

Develop the Vision After Unlocking It

The answers at the crystal do not determine your Vision's learnable abilities. After unlocking it, Mastery and awakening are the progression systems to pay attention to. If you want more abilities, work on those upgrades rather than replaying the dialogue to find a stronger answer.

In the demo, characters are capped at level 15 and Vision mastery at rank five. Those are demo limits, not consequences of your Sanctum choices. Replaying the questions with different responses will not let you progress beyond that mastery cap.

Revisit Questions and Avoid Story Spoilers

You can revisit a Sanctum crystal to go through its story questions again without repeating the Vision unlock. These scenes can reference major events from earlier Final Fantasy games. If you want to experience those stories yourself, save a closer reading of the questions for later.

  1. Skip or advance unfamiliar question text to limit your exposure to the original game's story details. Your selected responses still do not change the Vision reward.
  2. Return to the Sanctum crystal after experiencing the corresponding original Final Fantasy game. You can revisit the questions with that story's context while keeping the Vision you already unlocked.
