Find Gilgamesh in Final Fantasy Resonance, prepare for the airship battle, earn Genji Gloves, and follow his later encounter route to Kolobos Bridge.

Start with the airship-deck battle
Fight Gilgamesh on the airship deck in Chapter 5 to earn Genji Gloves; prepare Protectga, Shellga, reliable healing and Dispel for his sword attacks and self-buffs. Use strong elemental or physical attacks to make the most of his stagger openings. His earlier appearance at Siren's Tower in Chapter 1 is scripted, so continue the story instead of trying to win that encounter.
Follow Gilgamesh's story appearances
- Continue the story after Gilgamesh's scripted appearance at Siren's Tower in Chapter 1. Save your preparation for the later winnable encounter.
- Follow the story through Waterfall Way and Timber Tracks, where Gilgamesh makes further appearances along the route.
- Head to the airship deck in Chapter 5 for the winnable accessory encounter. This is the battle to pursue when your goal is Genji Gloves.
Prepare protection, healing and damage
Bring Protectga and Shellga together with reliable healing for the airship encounter. Give your party strong elemental or physical attacks that can exploit stagger opportunities, while keeping defensive coverage available against sword attacks. Choose Visions to support that plan: they fight alongside the party with their own skills and abilities.
Handle buffs and exploit stagger openings
Targeting enemy weaknesses helps stagger foes, breaking their defenses and granting extra turns. Aim to turn those openings into damage while keeping your party protected. Treat the actions below as a response plan, choosing what the current turn calls for.
- Apply Protectga and Shellga to establish defensive coverage against Gilgamesh's sword attacks, giving your party protection while you work toward an opening.

- Use Dispel when Gilgamesh applies dangerous self-buffs so you can return to your attack plan with those buffs removed.
- Use your healing when the party needs recovery, helping your team stay ready to continue the fight.
- Commit strong elemental or physical attacks to his stagger openings, using powerful Resonance attacks when the opportunity allows.
Claim the gloves and continue to Kolobos Bridge
Defeating Gilgamesh in the Chapter 5 encounter awards Genji Gloves, which increase critical-hit rate. Continue the hunt toward the later confrontation at Kolobos Bridge, where victory awards Genji Armor. The much earlier fake-gloves chest at Siren's Tower belongs to a separate scripted event, so keep that chest distinct from the Genji Gloves earned in the airship battle.
